Accessibility statement

BackPass is committed to accessible experiences for everyone.

Accessibility is a core part of BackPass. We want Partners, Local Authorities, and Young People to feel confident using the platform, regardless of ability or technology.

Our commitments

We co-design features with accessibility in mind and respond promptly when issues are identified.

WCAG 2.1 AA alignment

We design and test BackPass against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. This includes colour contrast, keyboard navigation, and support for assistive technologies.

Inclusive language

Content is written in plain language with consistent references to Young People, Partners, and Local Authorities.

Ongoing review

We review accessibility quarterly and whenever we launch a new feature. Issues raised by users are prioritised.

Support and feedback

Accessibility is a shared effort. If you need support or want to share feedback, please get in touch.

Report an accessibility issue

If you find something that makes BackPass hard to use, please let us know and we will work with you to fix it.
